Who doesn't want to have less stress in the life? If you are like so many other people out there, including myself, that are always looking for ways to reduce their stress, then this is the post is for you.

When I started my health and wellness journey, I knew I had to find ways to reduce not only stressors, but find ways to cope and handle stress better. For myself and my family. Like most people when they want to try something new, I went to Google and searched, "How to have a stress free day." There were over 763,000,000 results. I felt overwhelmed, and you guessed it, stressed.
After immediately closing my computer out of frustration, I walk outside, sat on my patio, and found myself already calming down. I took that as a sign. I went and grabbed a pen and paper and started writing down all the things I was already doing that without knowing, were lowering my stress levels.
Rise and Shine
Wake up early. Slow mornings are a must in my self care routine. Being by myself, surrounded by silence with a warm cup of tea in my hand gives me time to reflect and prepare for what the day will bring.

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
Waking up your body with a refreshing glass of water is extremely beneficial in releasing toxins and getting your digestive system moving. I recommend room temperature water so you don't shock your system awake. A warm cup of honey & lemon tea is also a soothing and welcome treat for the system.
Journal
There are so many different types of journaling, whether it be a dream journal, gratitude, or simply writing down your daily goals, I find journaling to be helpful in releasing any stress and anxiety.

Exercise
Exercising in the morning doesn't just wake up your body. It sets the mood of feeling healthy and accomplished for the day. Exercise is also beneficial in boosting your mood, a great stress release, and helps you focus throughout the day.
Meditate
You all know by now I am a HUGE fan of meditation, especially in my morning routine. Meditation helps clear my mind, reduces stress, anxiety, and boost my overall mood. Meditation is also beneficial in enhancing self-awareness, attention span, can help fight addiction, decrease blood pressure, and is just an overall relaxing self care boost to your day.

Read
Now that my body is awake, I like to wake up my brain by filling it with a good book! I try to set aside at least 15-20 min to read every morning with my children. This not only stimulates the brain, but reading has been known to improve focus, reduce stress, and set a motivational mindset for the day.
